Endorsements

The endorsement says what kind of work a license covers: residential or commercial, general or specialty, and the level for commercial work. One license can carry several.

Bond and insurance

The surety bond and liability insurance the CCB has on file, with company, amount and end date.

Exempt or nonexempt

“Nonexempt” means the contractor has employees and must carry workers' compensation insurance. “Exempt” means no employees. It is the contractor's declaration to the Board; an exempt contractor with workers on site is a question to raise before the job.

What is not here

Expired licenses, complaints and discipline, the responsible managing individual's name, phone numbers, and individual certifications (home inspectors, locksmiths).
